XX33-34-44-54

XX33/34/44/54
When the XX33/34/44/54 series was introduced tothe market, Simrad promised they would have SimNet and RadarChart Overlay. However, fulfilling these promises was far more complicated and time-consuming than anticipated.
This also because they had to complete the CXseries at the same time.
Till now, we have RadarChart Overlay in all units with radar function, andSimNet in the XX34 series. And in-betweenreleases, Simrad implemented ‘Course Up’, so: The new software version 2.20 will include thefollowing features:

• SimNet Control is now also implemented inthe XX33, XX44 and XX54 series. The XX44 and XX54 will require an AT44Active Tee to interface to SimNet.

• New interface setup as in the XX34 hasbeen implemented, enabling easy interfacingand full control of the SimNet system andselection of NMEA0183 output.

• Course Up on radar can now be selected soyou can have the same orientation, North Upor Course Up, on the chart and on the radardisplay. This is especially important for theRadarChart Overlay function.• Gain indicated in 0 to 100% has replaced thetraditional –100 to +100 dB.

• Combi Wide setting (XX44/54) – Settingsfor the new combi wide transducer outputtingmax 100 W has been implemented.

• Passi Braccio, a special Italian depth unit, has been implemented in the EQ models.• Delta position has been deleted from thesystem as a safety measure.

• WPL output – has been modified so it willcontinuously send out data for theapproaching point in a route when RTE andRnn is OFF. With either RTE or Rnn ON theWPL will send out the full route, working(wON) or complete (cON), as requested.

• New menu structure in the 33 series hasbeen implemented to have more similaritywith the 34/44/54.
