NAVSTATION® FROM SIMRAD
Designed as a Total Navigation Solution for power and sailboats, the NavStation range provides the choice of technically advanced SDGPS Chartplotter, Echosounder, Radar or combinations of all three from one base station, available with 3 screens sizes: CX34 (7”), CX44 (10.4”) and the CX54 (15”).
NavStation is a full Satellite Differential GPS chartplotter, utilising aspects of the tried and tested 34/44/54 series of Simrad combination products, but adding a wealth of extra physical and software based improvements. Once the user has the NavStation installed, a simple upgrade path is available to increased navigation capabilities: Just plug in a new Simrad designed NavStation DX antenna for full Radar functionality or an insert module and transducer for a powerful Simrad Echosounder. All connections to other Simrad products like VHF, Autopilots and other instruments are via the “plug and play” single SimNet cable network, so building a new complete boat system is exceptionally easy.
For owners who wish to install a NavStation with the full range of functions, the unit can be upgraded by the dealer and supplied in whatever configuration needed. The NavStation Series can also be configured as a Dual Station system with any combination of the three screen sizes: 7”, 10.4” or 15”.
The NavStation Series utilises a new sophisticated SunView display technology to increase viewability. This reduces glare and extends viewing angle, which in combination with stronger backlighting increases the quality of the image in strong sunlight and at night. This new technology makes the NavStation Series even more suitable for the often harsh marine environment.
Several new features have been implemented to make the NavStation a vital tool for navigation safety and efficiency for both sail and motorboats, including: Radar overlay with Head Up mode, Radar display with depth info and enhanced course vector. NavStation utilises new Simrad designed and manufactured Radar antennas that provide enhanced performance including speed adaptive antenna rotation and multiVision (dual range) presentation.*

These next generation electronic charts include many new features never-before-seen in electronic navigation and make use of larger capacity cartridges to provide greater chart coverage and greater functionality, including: Dynamic tidal flow on charts, anti grounding alarm, presentation of relevant geographical photos and drawings (landmarks, aids to navigation, bridges etc), land data with elevation, contours and road maps for major ports.
