Simrad EQ60 echo sounder discontinued.
Lack of critical components prevents repairs and support
In order to minimise the problems for
our dealers and customers, we have two
possible solutions.

1) Products still under warranty
For EQ60 BB units still under warranty we
will free of charge replace the unit with a
General Purpose Transceiver (GPT) set up
to correspond with the frequency of the old
EQ60. Note that Quin Marine must
provide a computer suitable for this system.
Price to be determined.


For the EQ60 with integrated display
monitor we will offer the same solution.
However, in this case we must remove the
PCT card in the EQ60 unit, and use the existing
computer to operatethe GPT.
The computer will already have a
suitable Ethernet card installed.


2) Products out of warranty
For all products out of warranty we offer
an exchange price to replace the EQ60BB
and EQ60 with integrated display monitor
with a new GPT. If required, Quin Marine will
provide the necessary computer.

NOTE: This offer ends 31 December 2005.

As previously reported, Simrad have experienced
problems obtaining important components for
the EQ60 echo sounder. The situation has now
become critical, and they feel that they are now
unable to support this product in a professional
and satisfying manner. For this reason, we regret
to announce that the EQ60 is now discontinued.
