SIMRAD AIS 80

Level 4 Kannad Service

Kannad 406 EPIRBs and Kannad SARTs can now be serviced locally in Port Adelaide.
Following training our technicians are now authorised by SERPE-IESM to perform service.

CMap interactive MAX Chart

We now have the New MAX CMap programming capability to go with our existing CMapNT and NT+ Simrad new models CP31, CX34, CX44 and CX54 are fully compatible with the new charts. Please note.
It has come to our attention that some confusion exists regarding upgrading CMap Ccards.
All Simrad models prior to those above can only accept CMap NT and following correct software and hardware upgrade the CMap NT+.
The software upgrade includes the CMap library files for the NT+ charts. The hardware upgrade is a small pcb to modify the voltage levels for the NT+ CCards.

There has also been problems with user cards. Cmap user cards MUST NOT be used in Simrad models. Only Simrad user cards which have special formatting can be used. If in older models (XX40/42) these cards are not recognised, then the hardware modification and possibly software upgrade will also be needed.

The cost of the pcb is $54.00 and can be installed by dealers but software can only be done by distributor. Of course encountering such problems can also be a as a result of a genuine fault rather than upgrading older models for later CCards.
